Lambro 200 - What Strength!

The Lambro 200 was launched in June 1963. It featured a 200cc engine and the carrying ability of 500kg. The Lambro 200 featured a new chassis design, moving away from the original tubular construction, although retaining the central tube that Lambretta are famous for. The wheel size was increased from 8" to 10" meaning the Lambro 200 looks slightly larger than the Lambro 175. The Lambro 200 still featured split rims although with the move to 10" they have a peperpot appearance. The front forks were uprated and changed from having trailing links to the otherway round with leading links.

The Lambro 175 was launched 3 months later and marked the start of Innocenti's new way of marketing their vehicles. Although the 200 was slightly more expensive than the 175, they were marketed as a range, with different carrying capacities and a larger price tag reflected the extra ability.

Electrical Equipment

The 80 Watt 6 poles flywheel magneto feeds the 12V - 18 Ah battery through the rectifier-regulator group

The charging circuit is protected by a fuse (15A) located on the junction box on rear bulkhead of the bain, under the seat. The user circuits are protected by 5 fuses (8A each), arranged below the dashboard.

The direction indicators flasher unit and the electrical wiper switch (accessory) are live only with the ignition switched on (ie key and switch on the dashboard in the positions 1,2,3)

The horn and rear stop lights can be operated without ignition key inserted.

The battery must be always regularly connected, otherwise engine start can be faulty and dangerous overloading of the circuits can occur during running.

The red indicator bulb on the dashboard comes on with the ignition on and stays on with the engine running. Should turn off when the ignition is switched off
